In Summer, we open the blue gate doors to an outside area which looks like a little Italian street (Il Vicolo).

The setup features a long table styled in the tradition of an “Italian Family Dinner,” a ritual that honours the flavors of the land and the joy of life’s simple pleasures. It’s less about speed or efficiency and more about savoring time together. Each course is served leisurely, allowing room for laughter, storytelling, and the warmth of shared presence. Dinners often stretch over several hours, with conversation flowing as effortlessly as the food and wine.

While food and wine are the common threads at each dinner we host, the featured “GUEST” changes every time. It could be a winemaker, a singer, or a chef. Il Vicolo first opened in November 2025 with an unforgettable evening featuring Giorgio Dalla Cia. Charles Back, David Nieuwoudt, Chef Kevin, and Rachelle Kruger followed in a series of vibrant festivals. You definitely don’t want to miss the 2026-2027 summer events.

Il Vicolo isn’t just for “The Wine Hive” events—you can book the space for your own celebrations.
